It may not mean anything to you, but today is 8500 for me. One day at a time.

Gearing Up Again
I have had some family drama of late. Part of it comes from being a diabetic with complications thereof. Some of it comes from an 81-year-old father who has taken it into his mind to defy doctors. Another slice is a brother and sister who are both writing new chapers in their pre-recovery stories.
Which makes powerless manifest, but does not absolve me from what actions I can take.
In the meantime, the next two podcasts are about ready to go up ... maybe in the next 36 hours.
One will have memories from Lois W on the beginnings of AA and the foundation of Alanon, and a few words from Ebby T, who brought the message of spiritual remedy to Bill W.
The other show has a single speaker - Jim B - with his recollections of the beginning of the program and the process of bringing the Big Book to the world.
I am bothered by the quality of the recordings, particularly the Ebby T talk. These were done on tape recorders and tape has a tendency to erase-itself over time. I have been using Audacity, and excellent UNIX based audio editor, but either the machine has limitations or my skill using it has clear restrictions.
But in the interest of sharing this information, I have been taking tapes and mp3s to tweak as far as I can for the Anonymous Review.
